This website is the electronic version of a document produced by Jack Foster that details his experiences over a 42-year career in law enforcement.
Many of the stories included here have been published in the media before, but his "scrapbook" provides background information that is available nowhere else. Every attempt has been made to ensure the accuracy of this website presentation, but it is not possible confirm dates for cases that have been archived with undated newspaper clippings.
Jack's scrapbook contains a record of his service to the community.

Update March 30, 2018
While helping my father look for a missing document, I recently became aware that the scrapbook orignally used to create this website with the material in the link above is quite incomplete, and that had a second scrapbook with much more information and more of his own accounts of his police work and life with is wife, Ruth.
See Scrapbook II
This link will take you to PDF versions of most of the content of this second scrapbook, except for some documents that could not be used since they disclosed personal email addresses, etc.
As of March 30, 2018, Jack Foster is alove and well at age 91. Unfortunately, his beloved wife Ruth passed away on June 9th, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

UPDATE: July 2, 2018:
A Note on Jack's Passing, July 1, 2018, at the age of 91.
"My Dad, Robert John "Jack" Foster was a musician and performer for most of his life, and he always liked to go out with a big finish. He managed that so well last night as he passed away at 9:30 PM, just as the fireworks displays lit up the skies in and around Belleville, Ontario.
I had planned to stay the night beside him, and, I as I gathered up my things, the belt on a pair of jeans I picked up must have hit the power button on a CD player that was left on the floor. Suddenly the room was filled with the music of Dad singing. The song? "Some Call It Heaven; I Call It Home."
I will post a link to the song below, along with a video I prepared for Dad after his wife, Ruth, passed away. In terms of the lyrics of that song, yesterday was the day he flew to be with her.
For those who may want to know more about Dad, his career and his music, I will also post a link to his website."
